The Diagnostic Imaging Department of the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre offers a wide array of diagnostics. We offer General Imaging (X-ray), Ultrasound, Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography, Fluoroscopy, and Echocardiography. We are a dedicated team of Imaging Professionals and we are a proud part of the Cumberland County Healthcare Team.

Opportunities For Physicians
We pride ourselves on having a friendly and supportive medical staff. There are just over 50 physicians in the county and we meet monthly for Grand Rounds and get together every season for a party. The community is small enough that you can carve out the practice you want, whether inpatient, outpatient, or procedural. You can use all your skills and enjoy the services of very robust and collegiate basic specialty services.
We are home to several nearby family practices, a 24-hour regional ER, ICU, general surgery, ENT, anesthesia, obstetrics and gynecology, radiology, psychiatry, ophthalmology, and pediatric dentistry. Amherst hosts 2-3 North Nova residents per year, for the duration of their family medicine residency, in addition to training rotating residents and medical students. Most staff are Dalhousie faculty members.

Rehabilitation services in Cumberland County consist of a dynamic team with diverse skill sets and opportunities for work in many areas of practice. Our team consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, recreational therapists, and support staff who provide a great environment for collaborative practice and mentorship. We cover all areas of rural practice, which includes therapy in an inpatient setting, as well as outpatient rehab for geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, neuro rehab, and much more.
